Squeegee Men
Better have a buck handy if you get caught at a red light in the Big Apple—the squeegee men are back. Armed with a bottle of Windex and a crumpled up newspaper, these men walk up to your car and clean your windshield—whether it’s dirty or not. The vagrants were a big problem in the 80s and 90s but were run out of business as a part of New York’s “broken windows theory” policies. But they’re back—and people don’t like it.
